Used Car Inspection

Used Car Inspection Service

Buying a car is a substantial investment, whether it’s new or used. If you are buying a used car, taking advantage of our FREE Used Car Inspection Service is one of the best decisions you could make.

Is It the Deal of the Century?

How many times you heard the story?

“I just absolutely stole this car. I just got a great deal on this thing. I bought it for next to nothing. Took it in the mechanic and he said everything checks out. Six months later, I’m on my third set of tires and I don’t know why…”

The problem is that while mechanics are experts at checking your mechanical systems – electrical, drivetrain, motor, looking for oil leaks, suspensions and brakes, tire condition, air conditioning and so on – they don’t know what to look for when it comes to the frame, auto body and paint.

If the car has been in an accident, what’s most important is that it was fixed correctly so that it is safe. What’s next is that it was fixed correctly so the repairs will last for the life of the vehicle and not cause problems in the future.

How It Works

This is a free service we offer to the public. We will take your car in and:

  • Visual inpsect the frame, body and paint – If we can SEE repairs have been done with the naked eye, that is not a good sign. It means the work wasn’t done correctly.
  • Measure the paint thickness – we know what every manufacturer’s specifications are for paint thickness. If the car’s paint is thicker than standard, we know it’s been painted.
  • Measure the spacing between panels and bumpers – we know what the spacing should be per manufacturer standards. If we measure and find differences, that is indicative of the car having been in an accident and repaired.
  • Provide you with a detailed report of what we find and recommendations.

Protect Yourself, Your Family and Your Investment

If your car passes our inspections – congratulations! You have a safe vehicle for you and your family that could last for years.

If we find out there are problems with the vehicle – and, depending on how long ago you bought the vehicle – you may be able to go back to the seller and get compensation. (You want to check with an attorney for clarification.)

If you can’t go back to the seller, we will sit with you, review our findings and decide together what actions need to be taken (if any) to make sure the car is safe and any repairs done will last.

Either way, you will have peace of mind knowing your family, you car and your investment are safe.
